About Me
Dr. Tanja Schomann
Mentor, Teacher, Researcher, Entrepreneur
I am a mentor, researcher, teacher and entrepreneur with work experience in 8 countries on 4 continents; my clients ranging from large multi-national corporations to startups, local NGOs and universities.
I have a multi-disciplinary background including Academia (PhD in Social Psychology from Cambridge University, teaching at ESCP Europe), Tech (IBM & eHealth Africa), Women's Empowerment (co-founded PHILIA) and International Development (projects with UNICEF & GIZ).
Despite seeing meaning in all of those projects and activities, it has only been in the past 2 years that I fully aligned my personal and professional "selves".
Since I was 14 years old, I have been a devoted practitioner of Yoga, Meditation and Eastern Philosophy. For the past 5 years I have also immersed myself in Shamanism, in particular the Gabonese Bwiti tradition. These practices have shaped who I am on every level. They have added depth and purpose to my life.
In 2019, I connected the dots and co-founded the PSYx platform. The focus of PSYx lies on exploring the potential of psychedelics, meditation and breathwork to contribute to solving societal and systemic challenges.
Further, I became advisor to Nana Health, perhaps the most exciting currently existing psychedelic startup. Nana aims to solve the mental health crisis through psychedelic assisted holistic therapy.
Lastly, I started offering individualised 1-on-1 mentorship to support people to let go off societal conditioning and unleash the most authentic version of themselves. You can book a free taster session here.
